I was at my local patchwork store - Amitie the other week and just couldn't resist these. What on earth am I going to do with a fat 1/8th of each of these?
They are cute :) I could see the airplane 1 on a cushion/pillow for a little boy. Thanks for your comments on my blog. If you're interested in starting cross stitch, and because you hail from good ol' Aus, firstly I would recommend starting with a kit (or 2 or 3 lol) as they come with everything you need and the instructions. For them I'd say either go to Spotlight or online a really good website is http://www.ozstitch.com.au/ I hope this helps. Thats where I get all my thread and aida from.
Sometimes a fabric just speaks to us (probably saying "take me, I'm yours!")
Pick it up, take it home, stash it and even if you don't have an immediate plan for it, the perfect project will soon come along.
Thankyou for your comment on my blog - I see you too are a newish blogger. I'm finding the online quilting and stitching community so fascinating and welcoming. I love visiting old and new friends online - and discovering new blogs, websites and shops!

How lucky to have Amitie as your local store. Love your fabrics - especially the airplane one.
