Stitch-a-long still going strong

Well I am way behind but am still chugging along. I gave up just the other day on hand piecing all the 1 1/2" squares. I hand pieced all of them into two but once I got to the four 1 1/2" blocks I gave up.

Then I made a huge mistake and machined ALL of the two patch units into blocks of four - then I read the instructions........Only 27 (?) were required. doh!

I really wanted to see some of these squares attached to a block as my goal by the end of next week is to have the first row completed.

I have yet to stitch my little 'string' for my tag.....

Finding these chocolate blocks terribly difficult as I think I have used some 'drill' cotton scraps and its quite thick.

I have another two blocks already cut out with applique ready to be sewn.
So my motto is slowly but surely.

Keep up the great work everyone.

Friends in Stitches - I'm so excited....

I'm so excited -The talented Leanne Beasley, Natalie Lymer of Cinderberry Stitches and Gail Pan of Gail Pan Designs are hosting a stitching day next July - and I'm going!

Its titled 'Friends in Stitches' and is a day for of stitching designs from these wonderful ladies, shopping and sharing time with friends.

I attended Urban Stitches this year (Friends in Stitches will be similar) and it was loads of fun. Looking forward to July next year now.

Getting There

With all five of us sick in the last two weeks and hubby in India for most of that, I haven't really had a chance to stitch a great deal. But there has been something done......

Block two and three of the applique in my SKoW quilt.......so I'm getting there.......
These blocks are really fun to do. The curves are still getting to me and I'm dreading the rainbow block.

Off to finish another one now.
